The EEJ Series of events kicked off at the weekend at the City of London Freeman’s School, near Leatherhead. This series of events are well run and offer a great introduction into a wider field of competitive fencing.
Dream Fencing Club were represented by the Farnsworth brothers Ibraheem and Muhammed entered in the under 11 boys’ competition. At the age of 9, the brothers were two of the younger fencers fighting in a field of 18 boys.
Both brothers did well in the poule...
Ibraheem | won 4 | lost 1 | Poule place 2
Muhammed | won 5 | lost 0 | Poule place 1
In the direct elimination both the boys got through to the quarter finals where Ibraheem lost out 7 - 10 and Muhammed 6 – 10 to their opponents.
Our congratulations go to Ibraheen who came 6th and Muhammed who was 5th. Both fought really well in their first major childrens fencing competition.
